Acceptable Use Policy
This policy applies to every service Kinet LLC provides on AS154859, including IP transit, colocation and dedicated servers. By using a service, you accept it for yourself and for anyone who reaches the network through you.
Prohibited use
You may not use the network to:
- Store, send or link to material that is unlawful where it is hosted or where it is received.
- Send unsolicited bulk email, or host systems that exist to support it.
- Launch or coordinate denial-of-service attacks, or run booter and stresser services.
- Scan, probe or access systems without the owner's permission.
- Distribute malware, operate botnet command and control, or host phishing pages.
- Forge packet source addresses or email headers.
Routing and addressing
Customers who announce routes to us must hold the right to use those prefixes and keep matching IRR objects and, where available, RPKI ROAs. We filter announcements that do not match. Customers must apply source address validation (BCP 38) on their own networks.
Shared resources
Do not run open resolvers, open relays or other services that third parties can use to amplify traffic. Keep the software on your servers up to date; we treat a compromised host as a source of abuse until it is cleaned.
Reporting abuse
Send abuse reports to the abuse contact in the AS154859 record of the APNIC Whois database. Include timestamps with time zones, source and destination addresses, and the logs or headers that show the activity.
Enforcement
When a service breaks this policy, we may filter traffic, suspend the service or end the agreement, depending on the harm and on whether the issue repeats. Where we can, we notify the customer first and allow a reasonable time to fix the issue. We act at once when the activity puts the network or other customers at risk.
Changes
We may update this policy. The version published on this page applies.
